Are TERFs right about neovaginas not functioning like a cis vagina and not looking like a “cis” vagina?
many neovaginas and thought they looked great but I have only seen 2 cis vaginas, so. er.)

1 would like to have SRS myself one day but I read from TERFS that neovaginas are not self-cleaning and not as
stretchy and not looking like a cis vagina and it triggers my dysphoria and blurs my hope to have a normal vagina.
day. Are they right though?

To a degree, and in some regards, possibly yes. But mostly, I reckon it's just them trying to sow fear.
As far as we know, the limits of how much a neo-vagina can stretch are indeed lower than those of a naturally-
produced one. It does have to be noted, however, that any surgery that is neither supposed to give you genitals with
no depth nor a failure on that front for whatever reason will give you something that is stretchy enough to suffice for
normal usage; it's only once you get to stuff like fisting that you may start getting problems on that front, and even
then it would be laughable to claim that naturally-produced vaginas are completely fine with that without starting
small and working up (and to anyone who claims that childbirth is proof of them being fine by default, I have this to
say: there's enough cases of post-birth trauma caused exactly by a vagina not being stretchy enough that the claim is
laughable at best). Plus, with time ways of giving better results on that front may be found.
The self-cleaning one is ... well, I should probably start that vaginas vary in how self-cleaning they are, really.
Ultimately, it's up to a few things, namely the bacterial flora, the absorbent qualities of the vaginal wall, and the
muscles down there doing a good enough job of pushing things that the former two can't take care of out. The first
one varies from one vagina to another, but after recovery a neo-vagina will have bacterial flora that is no different
from the norm; the second is similar, because after recovery the walls of a neo-vagina are similar enough to the walls
of a naturally-produced vagina and that includes absorbency; if any of these is an issue it's the last one because the
muscles are set up a bit differently there, but even then this can be managed to a degree if you work on it (go ask a
doctor).
As for not looking like a naturally-produced vagina, no, that one is just trying to make it look worse (and likely
grasping at straws there). Vaginas vary greatly in how they look, and any surgery that's not a failure in regards to the
visuals will give you a neo-vagina that, once it heals, looks like simply a vagina, to the point where gynaecologists
may think it such. To add to that, this applies to the insides too, because given time the body will adapt what it has to
what it's supposed to be, within certain bounds of course.
Also, you probably should not go to TERFs for any kind of knowledge regarding this. They're not exactly friends of
anyone who is trans, you know.

TERFs are going to say anything or exaggerate anything to prevent you from being you. With that said, I'm over 14
months post-op and when I had my first pelvic exam by my HRT provider (she has many transwomen and cis-lesbians
as patients but had never seen the result yet in-person of the surgeon I use, Dr. Bluebond-Langner.) She said that
she would not have known it was a neo-vagina until she started looking for the cervix.
Cis women with MRKH syndrome get the same neo-vagina that we get after having surgery to fix their medical
condition. If you ask a TERF about that, they will tell you that it doesn't count because they were born without a Y
chromosome and a penis. That's TERF logic for you. According to TERF's, intersex individuals like me don't really exist.

And that's really the gist of it. If they have to ignore the existence of people like you or me for their vision of the
world to work at all, then by default it's not a very healthy vision.

Do a google image search for "wall of vagina”. You will see that cis vaginas have a wide range of appearances. A
skilled and experienced surgeon can definitely create a neo vagina within the normal range.

Aside from the fact that terf's are cunts, I will say if you expect a neo-vagina to behave like a Cis Vagina, you're
mostly in for a rude awakening. The male anatomy will generally preclude you from having the depth of a cis vagina
and because of certain muscle anatomy, you'll never have the kind of elasticity ciswomen enjoy. Mine requires
constant dilation but certainly has no problem with being"clean”. I can accommodate most guys but not all so I have
to consider that in relationships. I am totally orgasmic but have friends who have never had an orgasm after their
surgery. So it's a total YMMV thing. As far as looks go? well, that's pretty subjective. Google "wall of vaginas” and you
can see just how different boxes can get. So if you're close, you're gonna be okay. Again, a lot has to do with your
surgeon so do your research before you jump in with this.

What do you mean by self cleaning? Not all vagina are the same depth or diameter. There is no "normal" way a
vagina looks, they are al different.

Bacterial flora, plus absorbency of vaginal walls, plus the ability of the muscles to force the vagina to push foreign
material over time, working together to make it possible to get rid of stuff that got in without the need to douche. And
it's something that neo-vaginas can possibly do, to a degree, after recovery.

TERFs/FARTS are mongers of fear (not just hate) so anything they say has to be taken as likely false. Having seen
instances of both; the Neo-vagina looks just as good as the regular kind and I'm told feels great for the owner (and
for those lucky enough to share an experience with the owner).
I'm told there is a chance of loss of sensation and that chance gets smaller depending on a few factors, those factors
being: health of patient, surgeon experience, infection, genes, pie existing injuries, complications and a few more.
That seems like alot of factors you need to seeing in your favour but the odds are in fact in your favour.
TL;DR > TERFS/FARTS are full of shit the Neo-vagina is awesome
