ov Update Post- My kid was just diagnosed with gender dysphoria
I posted the other day that my kid, from the moment she could talk, was adamant that she was a girl. Even though she
can explain that she has a boy body like her big brother she has ALWAYS presented female. We were lucky enough to get
in with a specialist on very short notice the other day due to a cancellation. This therapist said point blank that Riv is trans
and she recommended immediately socially transitioning(we basically already have, we never discouraged her from
wearing "girl" stuff or tried to force her to act like a boy). Now this therapist is amazing and will be guiding us through the
school issues I had asked about a few days ago. She even said she will tour schools with us and train staff as needed! My
family who live with us have been super supportive(my grandmother jas shocked me with how ok she is with all this). I'm
not surprised by this diagnosis at all but now shit just got real and I'm scared for the future. Because other people suck
and I don't want my kid to have to deal with them being assholes. We already have issues with her older siblings being
picked on because they have autism and that's hard enough to deal with...
EDIT: Thanks so much guys, the kind words mean a lot to me, especially because my life is pretty chaotic right now even
besides the trans stuff. I'm pretty sure my life is just always going to be chaotic so idk why I even said "right now" like
things will eventually calm down. They won't. Lol.
